VC’s mission is to:
- Rescue animals that come from the streets, over-crowded local shelters, or who have been owner-released and to find homes for these animals. Because the animals come to us in various states of health (from extremely poor to fair), VC spends time evaluating and working with the animals, getting them much needed veterinary care and medications, providing them with lots of attention, and finding the right homes for them.
- Fund-raise to pay for the veterinary care and on-going care of the animals until they find forever homes as well as to support other groups who help animals.
- Collaborate with other groups to educate new pet owners regarding the proper care and treatment of animals.
- Promote veganism by supporting an annual vegan Thanksgiving gathering.
